We’re excited to share news of LEVEL – a new, community-informed pilot programme supporting LGBTQ+ people who have caused harm in intimate relationships.
The programme will offer a 22-week, one-to-one behaviour change intervention, alongside support for those who have been harmed – including current and ex-partners.
This is a new approach, designed to fill a clear gap in current services. It recognises that:
- Domestic abuse happens in LGBTQ+ relationships.
- Traditional services often exclude or overlook LGBTQ+ people.
- Identity, trauma, and discrimination must be understood as part of any meaningful response.

LEVEL is one of a number of pilots supported through Drive’s National Systems Change work – aiming to reshape how we respond to domestic abuse, especially for those often left out of mainstream support.
The name LEVEL reflects the programme’s values – equity, accountability, and change. It supports people to take responsibility for harm, reduce risk to others, and begin a process of change rooted in understanding, not judgement.
The pilot will launch soon in Calderdale and Kirklees, with staff from both organisations working together across the two areas.
We’ll be sharing more details shortly, including how to refer and opportunities to connect with the team.
