From a LEVEL perspective, the day was an opportunity to highlight the importance of healthier, safer and more equal relationships within LGBTQ+ communities. Steph Mallas from WomenCentre introduced the LEVEL programme, which supports people to recognise behaviour patterns, understand relationship dynamics and make positive changes.
The session formed part of a wider programme covering HIV prevention and support, Queer as Smoke, Queer Bits, DRAG, Pride, outreach and community wellbeing. Together, these projects show how LGBTQ+ health is shaped by more than one issue. Relationships, confidence, safety, connection, identity and access to support all matter.
The conference also created space for honest conversations about stigma, barriers to services and the need for support that feels relevant, inclusive and easy to access.
The video highlights capture some of the energy, learning and partnership working from the day, including the role LEVEL plays within the wider Well Proud programme.
